EMKA sponsors Sports Centre in Velbert

At its locations in Wuppertal and Velbert EMKA has accepted social responsibility for many years and involves itself in different projects. Sports is one of the most important pillars in the overall concept. The company is, for example, main sponsor for football teams of the SSVg Velbert. Following up on this, EMKA opened the new outdoor facility of the sponsored sports centre in Velbert in September, together with mayor Dirk Lukrafka, decathlete Paul Meier and other persons involved in the project. This facility comprises a lawn area for athletes with adjoining throwing facility, a 400 meter running track, a street ball field and three beach volleyball fields as well as a high-jump area. The facilities supplement the already existing range for indoor sports. They will also be used, among others, for training units of the SSVg Velbert.
