EMKA once again awarded as World Market Leader
Every year, the University of St. Gallen compiles the list of world market leaders in the period from mid-June to the end of August. However, global crises such as the corona pandemic, gas price explosion, supply bottlenecks as well as inflation have not left companies unscathed this year.
In German-speaking countries, the group of world market leaders had to be reduced to below 500 because many companies fell out of this year's ranking due to the difficult economic world situation. Not so EMKA: The closure specialist from North Rhine-Westphalia was able to consolidate its position and has now been awarded for 2023 for the second time.
For a corresponding award, a company must be number one or two in terms of turnover in at least one relevant market segment. If no data on a market segment is available, study author and economics professor Christoph Müller compares the companies with possible competitors.
With an annual turnover of at least 50 million euros, a company must generate at least half abroad and on three continents. In addition, an award requires that the owners have part of their headquarters in Germany.
The world market leader status is also proven by EMKA`s global resources: EMKA's products are developed, manufactured, finished and assembled at ten production sites all over the world. Only high-quality materials made of stainless steel, aluminium, zinc, plastic and rubber are used. EMKA is also one of the largest mould manufacturers in Europe.
