Conflict Metals

Dear Customer

EMKA Beschlagteile GmbH & Co. KG engaged itself to not support the unethical and inhuman behavior of the Democratic Republic of the Congo which is partly financed through “conflicts metals”.

„Conflict metals“are metals like gold, tantalum, tungsten, tin, cobalt and copper which are mined in inhuman conditions in the Congolese civil war areas to finance weapons and mercenaries. Since 1998 more than five million innocent civilians have been tortured and killed through the civil wars in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its neighboring countries.

EMKA Beschlagteile GmbH & Co. KG regards itself as responsible for its own products and those of the suppliers to not use any “conflict metals” and to purchase metals exclusively from economic and socially acceptable sources.
