High thrills with EMKA at skydiving events and football matches

The name EMKA is synonymous with sporting events in the Bergisches Land, a low mountainous region of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. For many years, we have sponsored local clubs in the region and celebrated their accomplishments. The skydiving event organised by FSC Remscheid is known for its breathtaking spectacle, offering guests as well as visitors a thrilling experience, especially during the tandem skydiving option. However, the TSG Sprockhövel football team is also experiencing positive developments as they have successfully secured a place at the top of the Westfalenliga Staffel 2.

EMKA, a longtime sponsor of the Remscheid Skydiving Club, supported a thrilling skydiving event held at the Hackenberg Sports Centre in Remscheid from 23 to 25 August. Many tandem jumps occurred in the beautiful Bergisches Land region, with perfect weather and a large crowd present, an unforgettable experience for all involved.

In addition to the recreational fun, the sporting aspect was not neglected either. The skydivers of FSC Remscheid used the weekend as a training camp for the German Championships, which took place a week later in Gransee near Berlin, Germany. It was especially eye-catching to see the EMKA logo on the FSC Remscheid helicopter, which efficiently transported the skydivers to an altitude of 2,800 m. This emblem made sure that the sponsor had a strong presence throughout the entire event and emphasised their longstanding support of FSC Remscheid.

Rebuilding in the Westfalenliga

Following their unfortunate relegation from the Oberliga-Westfalen, and playing in the Westfalenliga Staffel 2 this season, TSG Sprockhövel is now striving for a direct promotion back to the Oberliga-Westfalen. The football club from the heart of North Rhine-Westphalia can continue to count on the support of its main sponsor EMKA.

The start of the season raises hopes for an early return to the top league: After seven match days, TSG Sprockhövel remains unbeaten at the top of the table. The rebuilding after the relegation can thus be considered a success. EMKA‘s long-standing support for football clubs in the region has played a significant role in their success. TSG extends its gratitude to its primary sponsor for their support.

Agon Arifi, the leading goal scorer for TSG 1881 Sprockhövel, has skillfully taken the ball from his opponent Melih-Akay Celik from Brüninghausen and is now poised to score the opening goal, making it 1-0. Even though the game ended in a draw with a score of 2:2, TSG still holds the top spot in the league without a loss.
