EMKA wins German Innovation Award
The jury was particularly impressed by the screw-on hinge that doesn‘t require a hinge pin, as it can be assembled without any tools in a matter of seconds. The two identical hinge halves are inserted into each other in the 270° position and then swung to the 180° position. Both parts are now firmly connected, even without a hinge pin. Using countersunk screws positioned at a 180° angle, the hinge is now properly installed at the intended location.
The hinge is also cost-effective, as it is cheaper than traditional screw-on hinges. Additionally, customers have the option to select from three different materials: polyamide, zinc, and stainless steel. The appearance and arrangement of holes are exactly the same as the traditional solution using a hinge pin. This feature ensures a smooth and effortless replacement in already installed cabinet systems.
