EMKA quarter turn pass fire protection test

The fire resistance class E60 was tested. The aim of the test was to determine how long the locks keep doors and flaps reliably closed in order to ensure the required fire protection.

Significantly above the required minimum time

All tested products met the requirements for the intended application. The cylinder latch 1048-U6-PH is particularly noteworthy: It significantly exceeded the required test time of 15 minutes and was still fully functional even after an hour of testing.

Function remains intact even after load

Even after the 60-minute test, opening and closing with the key was still possible without any problems – further proof of the product's resilience. Although this aspect is not part of the official test, it was nevertheless perceived as particularly positive in the results.
