EMKA promotes sporting solidarity: Velbert Company Cup

On 5 July, the city of Velbert, in partnership with SC Velbert, hosted the well-known football tournament for the sixth year. The matches were played on four small pitches in the BLF Arena. Throughout the competition, the EMKA team demonstrated an impressive performance, highlighting their teamwork, resolve, and Coach Tobias Gerste’s well-defined strategy. After exciting preliminary round matches, the team confidently advanced to the final round. With a strong performance, EMKA defeated Velbert in the semi-finals. The final match was captivating and went down to the wire.

In a close game, EMKA remained composed and secured a hard-fought but well-earned 2-1 win against Grimmert GmbH. After the final whistle, Mayor Dirk Lukrafka personally presented the challenge cup and congratulated the team on their strong performance. The Velbert Company Cup, celebrating its sixth year, was again another resounding success. The tournament was remarkable due to its fair play, the intense desire to win, and the widespread excitement felt by everyone involved.
