EMKA Production: From the customer‘s idea to the series component

What was once known as “Mould + Serie” is now EMKA Production, an independently managed division of the EMKA Group. The renaming in summer 2025 represents the consistent further development of industrial manufacturing expertise. Our objective is to provide comprehensive support to customers from various industries, from the product idea to series production. EMKA Production views itself as a process partner, not simply a conventional contract manufacturer. This division provides industrial customers with comprehensive access to EMKA‘s manufacturing and service offerings. The service package is customisable, and a team of specialists will tailor it to the customer‘s specifications.

International manufacturing processes fully synchronized
EMKA Production combines a wide range of manufacturing technologies with clearly defined location-specific expertise. The emphasis is on zinc die casting and plastic injection molding, primarily done in Bosnia and Hungary, ensuring efficient, high-volume processing. Aluminium processing, on the other hand, takes place exclusively at the Wuppertal plant in the 5,000 m² production hall, die casting, forging and friction welding processes are used to create tailor-made solutions for a variety of customer requirements. The range is complemented by investment casting in Serbia, which is ideal for filigree components with complex geometries made of stainless steel or steel. EMKA also extrudes rubber profiles from EPDM, thermoplastics or PVC. In addition to pre-cut lengths, rings and frames are also manufactured at the production sites in Spain and England. The manufacturing spectrum is rounded off by proven processes such as punching, bending and forming technology as well as machining. The core manufacturing processes of zinc die casting, plastic injection moulding and punching are mirrored at three locations: in Germany for ‘Made in Germany’ quality, in Bosnia and Hungary to increase cost efficiency, and in India and Indonesia for better market coverage in Asia. All production sites are certified according to ISO 9001:2015.

From supplier to process partner
The path to the finished product begins with the generation of the production drawing based on the customer‘s layout in EMKA‘s own technology centre. This is then followed by mould construction, which is done in close collaboration with European partners who have extensive experience. Subsequently we use the initial samples, which are manufactured on series production machines. Comprehensive test and measurement protocols using state-of-the-art measurement technologies are used. These samples are tested, adapted and approved together with the customer. Only then does series production begin in a closely integrated production network with clearly defined centres of excellence. If required, the individual parts are assembled into functional assemblies and then tested under real conditions in EMKA‘s accredited testing laboratory. Logistics is also part of the service promise: packaging, order picking and the establishment of buffer warehouses are individually tailored to the customer‘s requirements.
This combined production and process expertise, guarantees the customer’s benefit from a high-performance partner who covers every step from the initial idea to the series-production component and provides them with flexible solutions from a single source. This ensures that projects are implemented efficiently, reliably and to a high standard of quality.
