EMKA and its partners support animals and sponsor sports
News from the world of sponsoring
EMKA congratulates the Wuppertaler SV! For the first time since 2007, the third-division football club – which EMKA has supported for many years – has reached the first round of the DFB Cup (German Football Association Cup). This is because coach Björn Mehnert’s team beat league rivals SV Straelen 2:1 (1:0) in the Lower Rhine Cup final, a German football club Cup competition, at the end of May. The Wuppertaler SV has already been drawn agains VFL Bochum in the first round of the DFB cup.
As part of its co-sponsorship format, EMKA is currently arranging attractive packages for sponsors interested in an attractive package. EMKA can also arrange similar packages for sponsorships with other clubs and organisations. Please contact us!
TSG Sprockhövel: Captain stays on board
TSG Sprockhövel also has good news to announce: Captain Ibrahim Bulut (see photo) will stay with the team. The star player of the Oberliga club (Upper league) has extended his contract for the coming season.
Unfortunately, the club, which EMKA has supported for years, could not complete the entire 20/21 season. After the Corona-related interruption from 29 October 2020, the season was cancelled and annulled on 19 April 2021.
Animal Rescue Bosnia grows
Near the two EMKA factories in Goražde (Bosnia and Herzegovina), the Animal Rescue Bosnia project is running at full speed. The aim is to rescue and place abandoned street dogs that are found neglected, hungry and sometimes even sick.
Thanks to EMKA and primarily through the initiative of Marita Runge, Friedhelm Runge’s wife, a modern dog rescue centre, according to European standards, including a veterinary clinic, has been built on a total of about 6,000 m2 in the past years. Another important work of the EMKA project is to find homes for puppies and young dogs in Germany and throughout Europe. Detailed information is available at www.animal-rescue-bosnia.org.
Soon the ball and the players will be rolling again
There is also good news for the roller hockey team of the RSC Cronenberg. After a long period of eight months, the RSC’s athletic department has resumed training activities.
The 2020/2021 season was declared closed after only one matchday due to COVID19; the anticipation is all the greater for the 2021/2022 season, which is scheduled to start on 11 September.
This applies to both the women’s and men’s Bundesliga teams. After the long break from playing and training, this is a fantastic development that EMKA is happy to support.
