Convenient Locking Technology in the New Concorde Centurion

The new Concorde Centurion features the EMKA ePush Lock, an electromechanical locking solution for the convenient opening and closing of storage compartments and garage doors, which is inserted into the vehicle’s central locking system. The latch was developed specifically for motorhomes and commercial vehicles. Key features include integration that is invisible from the outside, opening and closing by simply pressing the flap, and electronic status feedback on the latch and door status to the vehicle system.

Today, particular emphasis is placed on a clean vehicle design. Visible latches on flaps and doors can be particularly distracting, especially in motorhomes. The ePush Lock was developed specifically to meet these requirements. The latch is invisibly integrated and requires no visible controls on the exterior.

The flap can be opened by simply pressing it, closed by pressing it shut, and locked using the vehicle’s central locking system. Since the electronic components are mounted on the frame side, there is no need for complex cable routing inside the flap.

In addition to convenient operation, the ePush Lock is also available for integration into modern vehicle concepts. The system is available for use with central locking and provides electronic status feedback on door and locking status. Additionally, a mechanical emergency opening for Bowden cables is integrated.

The solution was developed for storage and garage doors in motorhomes and recreational vehicles; however, due to its features and high closing forces, it is also suitable for commercial vehicles and other mobile applications.
